Zope Membership and Access-Control Functionalities

Zope Membership Management System manages registration, member information, self-publishing authorizations, and member profiling.

Every member who joins your organization or sign up on your website receives a unique member login and password. This username and password provides full access to the members-only area of your site. Here members can view complete event and/or product details, sign up to events, create personalized pages and communicate with other members.

Zope Membership Management System lets you organize, analyze and protect your data:

Create a membership hierarchy (e.g. organization -> company members-> individual members)

Create your own membership types and member roles

Generate detailed reports and download data to analyze membership activity

Establish a secure gateway into members-only areas of your website

Members manage their own contact information, address, email address, change their password, and keep their profile current

Online Join Process:

You may determine how you want members to join your group. They may join online and instantly have access to your members-only area. Or your online application process may require approval from a site administrator. You may even turn off the online registration process and have interested parties contact you directly for membership information.

Multiple User Levels to define roles:

There can be multiple user levels. For example: one for your members, one for contributors, one for reviewers, and one for your site administrator(s). By assigning different roles to different users, you can have menus customized to different site features/functions. Contributors may post events, which go into a queue for approval. Only your designated reviewers may approve information and post it to your website. Additionally, administrators have access to other member management features.

Member Profiles and Contact Information:

Members of your organization are able to update their contact information and other personal information. They may also post profiles about themselves, create newsletters and announcements, as well as upload a digital photo.

Content Personalization:

Members can personalize the site's content categories - selecting their favorites for quick browsing on their personalized page

Administrator Member Center:

Only administrator's have access to your organization's member center. Here you can manually add new members, terminate memberships, and update a member's personal information.

Password Storage and Retrieval:

It is bound to happen. Someone will forget their password. It may be you. Fortunately the login form has a link to a "forgotten password" page. On this page, you, or your users, can enter a username. A password will then be mailed to the email address associated with the username.

User Logout:

When the "User logout" link is clicked on, the user will be logged out, and redirected to your website home page.

Deleting Users:

Zope Membership Management System makes it easy to delete users through a user-friendly online interface.

Security:

Zope Membership Management System features strong security levels as passwords are stored encrypted.

Membership Reports:

A variety of reports enable you to view membership statistics at a glance.
